Full Description

We are delighted to invite you to experience your holiday in our much loved cottage. As Tryst Cottage is our second home, we provide for you everything that we need to enjoy precious holidays in both style and the highest level of comfort.
Just a few minutes walk from the pubs and shops in Ingleton, Tryst Cottage provides the perfect central base for the Three Peaks area: Ingleborough, Whernside (both accessible on foot from the cottage) and Penyghent.

Together with local show caves and the fabulous Ingleton Waterfall Walk (arguably the best collection of waterfalls in one walk anywhere in the country), Ingleton is perfectly and centrally located to explore the beautiful surrounding Yorkshire Dales National Park, on foot or by bike, climbing, caving or by car. You can also experience the beautiful scenery with a ride on the Settle to Carlisle Railway. With Malham a short drive to the east, the Lake District 30 mins to the west and the Trough of Bowland just south of the village, you will never be short of places to visit.

Tryst Cottage sleeps 4, with twin beds in the second bedroom, together with an HD TV with Freeview. The carefully researched authentic historical symbols of affluence on the beautiful bespoke four poster bed, together with ample storage in the Shreiber bedroom furniture, ensure a unique ambience in the master bedroom. Both bedrooms have hairdryers.
You will have full control of the central heating, as well as logs provided for the log burner. Enjoy the feel of the large fluffy wrap around towels provided for you after your bath or shower, and sleep comfortably in beds made with our large duvets and stylish bed linen.

The Aga style cooker will allow you to experience the joys of food cooked using a range cooker, or if you prefer just use the electric oven. Either way you will find the kitchen to be fully equipped for all your needs, including a dishwasher, waste disposal unit, large fridge freezer and access to a tumble dryer in the stone shed.

The lounge HD TV offers Freesat with a 5 point surround sound that you can plug your MP3 player into. The information provided on local walks, maps and the weather station together with free Wifi will help you to plan your day with a local 12 hour forecast.

Outside, exiting via the stable door there is secure locked storage for bikes, climbing and caving equipment. A raised mezzanine seating deck is equipped with teak garden furniture and the seating area on another lower deck has fixed bespoke table and benches around the barbecue.

Parking is available at the rear of the property (width restriction for access) and up to two well behaved dogs are welcome at no extra charge (terms and conditions apply). Please contact us if you have more than two dogs.

Tea and coffee will be available for your arrival, with complimentary toiletries (including aromatherapy toiletries) in the bathroom.
Tryst Cottage is open all year round, and the stunning colours of the scenery in the winter should not be missed. For more photos please visit our Facebook page as well as our website.

Historical Connection

Tryst Cottage was built around 1750. Originally it was part of a row of buildings (now cottages) used to temporarily hold livestock which had travelled over the road from Hawes. The cottage still has original oak beams in the living room and master bedroom, with marks on the beams and the carpenter's personal identifying scroll can be seen in the living room.
